We supply heliport firefighting and rescue equipment in accordance with CAP 437, SOLAS and ICAO Annex 14.
Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System – DIFFS
As an alternative to the standard firefighting equipment, we offer Deck Integrated Fire Fighting System (DIFFS). This system consists of a network of pipes installed under the deck connected to a set of pop-up nozzles that is integrated in the aluminum profiles, a foam skid tank and activation panels.
In case of fire, the stainless-steel nozzles will emerge due to water pressure and spray a mixture of water and foam evenly onto the landing zone. The DIFFS can be activated automatically, through flame detectors, or manually.
The fire is extinguished within 15 seconds, although in most cases the fire is extinguished in less than 10 seconds.
A Deck Integrated Firefighting System is recommended by CAP437 and improves crew and passengers’ safety, facilitating rescue operations.
Engineering and detailed drawings for installation are provided.
Fixed Monitor System
The conventional fire fighting system/equipment for heliports consists of:
- Foam monitors, which can be remote or self-controlled,
- Branch pipes
- Extinguishers
